A reader sent in a reminder… of President Trump’s inauguration speech back in 2017.
Go to 3:50 of the video if one doesn’t want to start from the beginning. When President Trump mentions “transferring power”, a bunch of military officers walk in, stand behind him and then leave in less than one minute. As far as I can see, this didn’t happen during the inauguration speeches of Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush (Snr) and Reagan.
This can be interpreted in many ways. Was Trump merely trolling? Or perhaps it was the US military sending a message? Or both? Is the US military in charge right now?
