Title: Taken 3
Director(s): Olivier Megaton
Screenwriter(s): Robert Mark Kamen & Luc Besson
Released: 2014
Runtime: 1h 49m
● This final film of the trilogy takes a different direction as no one is actually taken. Lenore (Famke Janssen) is murdered and Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is framed for it. There is, of course, a conspiracy in which Lenore’s husband is somehow involved so Bryan has to go on the run and try to solve that mystery.
● There is some intrigue, however formulaic, and is more of the same in terms of action.
● It is arguable whether this different approach is better or worse. It is well-produced but is not particularly memorable. The first film is the best and the most satisfying.
