Not intended to be a shoot ’em up but rather a mystery-thriller. Starts off a little trippy but becomes a little too predictable.

Instead of thugs, McCall is going up against skilled operatives like himself. Lacks the energy and emotional satisfaction of the first film.

In some ways the Korean version of La Femme Nikita. Nicely shot revenge flick but perhaps predictable.

Tries too hard with the conspiracy. Not bad but can use more and better action.

Clichéd premise, which is fine, but is unfortunately poorly executed in most respects.

Glaring stupidities are a turn-off. Wasted opportunity with Milla Jovovich and Pierce Brosnan.
