Study: Death from Pfizer 37% More Likely than Moderna

A pre-print study by R. Levi et al titled “Twelve-Month All-Cause Mortality after Initial COVID-19 Vaccination with Pfizer-BioNTech or mRNA-1273 among Adults Living in Florida” posted on 29 April 2025 has found that—you guessed it—the COVID-19 vaccines can kill people, or more specifically, Pfizer is way worse than Moderna.

It should be noted that one of the authors is Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo who in 2022 recommended males aged 18 to 39 not get the so-called vaccine.

The paper is 53 pages and the main text is about 18 pages, the remaining are acknowledgements, references, tables and figures.

The study sample included those who, amongst other things, had received at least two doses less than six weeks apart of either the Pfizer or Moderna injection between 18 December 2020 and 31 August 2021 inclusive.

The sample was narrowed to a matched cohort of 1,470,100 individuals, with half having received Pfizer and the other half Moderna. There were more females (55.43%) than males (44.57%).

The below figures are for Pfizer as compared to Moderna.

  • All-cause mortality: excess 229.2 deaths per 100,000 persons (95% CI: [201.7, 256.8]) with a corresponding risk ratio of 1.37 (95% CI: [1.32, 1.42]).

  • Cardiovascular mortality: excess 86.3 deaths per 100,000 persons (95% CI: [71.6, 100.9]) with a corresponding risk ratio of 1.53 (95% CI: [1.42, 1.65]).

  • COVID-19 mortality: excess 26.0 deaths per 100,000 persons (95% CI: [19.3, 32.6]) with a corresponding risk ratio of 1.88 (95% CI: [1.59, 2.22]).

  • Non-COVID-19 mortality: excess 203.3 deaths per 100,000 persons (95% CI: [19.3, 32.6]) with a corresponding risk ratio of 1.35 (95% CI: [1.59, 2.22]).

These figures are comparative but even if Moderna is perfectly safe, a Pfizer recipient is about 37% more likely to die.

Figure 2 reproduced below is the cumulative incidence of all-cause, cardiovascular, COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 mortality in the matched cohort for 365 days after the administration of the second dose.
