The modern-classic film Aliens (1986), like its predecessor, paints a future where corporations still rule, particularly Weyland Yutani.
In Aliens, this is taken further when Weyland Yutani clearly has a lot of influence on colonial administration, including the military. In a way, the industrial-military complex is very much alive in that world too.
What is also interesting and no less relevant to the world today is that Weyland Yutani is into colonizing new planets by terraforming, hence the company slogan “Building Better Worlds”.
All of this sounds a bit too familiar to the WEF’s “The Great Reset” and officials uttering “build back better”. Just a thought…
