Bill Gates reads a lot of books and wants to give away his wealth “faster than … originally planned” and then permanently close the Gates Foundation.

Rah!!!

Unfortunately, it’s not for another 20 years.

You see, Bill is “deeply proud” of what the foundation has achieved in the first 25 years—the article is a short self-congratulatory activities report—and he believes he can achieve “the foundation’s goals on a shorter timeline”.

And what are those goals?

Amongst other things, you guessed it, vaccines, education and AI tools, and seeds for agriculture.

So he thinks he can kill most of us a bit quicker. Right.

Setting aside the question of what money should be, one doesn’t need 20 years to fix the world’s problems. It requires a lot of manpower and material resources, but the world doesn’t need you, Bill, so shut your trap and close shop already.
