New York, New York

Love to see some people wasting no time pushing mandatory vaccination. As of this writing, in the state of New York, Assembly Bill A11179 is “in assembly committee”.

2. Once the United States Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research and the New York state clinical advisory task force have approved the safety and effectiveness of a COVID-19 vaccination…

That’s funny. What standard of “safety and effectiveness” would that be? The vaccine trials exclude groups like children, immune-compromised patients and pregnant women, as well as not evaluating for severe cases.

…and promotion and distribution plans of such vaccine have begun pursuant to the department’s COVID-19 vaccination administration program, if public health officials determine that residents of the state are not developing sufficient immunity from COVID-19, the department shall mandate vaccination for all individuals or groups of individuals who, as shown by clinical data, are proven to be safe to receive such vaccine.

Don’t you just love the ambiguous wording?

What is the department’s “COVID-19 vaccination administration program” exactly? If it is not fitting to state the program here, then at least provide a reference.

And this is gold:

…if public health officials determine that residents of the state are not developing sufficient immunity from COVID-19…

What is “sufficient immunity”? Does anyone know the percentage? Or is it 100%? There is an exemption clause but that hardly inspires confidence.

I am not sure what annoys me more: a potentially dangerous vaccine forced on the population or “qualified” lawyers and politicians writing bills that read worse than a bad story by a 4th-grader.
