Intriguing utopian-dystopian premise and setting in which the boy has to leave the utopian city and go underground. Well-produced but the plot lacks substance and is somewhat bland.

A supernatural force kills people whilst religious fanatics take advantage. Tries too hard, but well-paced with some dramatic suspense.

Set in 2022. Food supply problems. Climate issues. Government handouts. And a corporation that controls it all. Seem familiar?

Although there is nothing particularly new, the story is intriguing enough with strong characters and it does look good.

The source material for the modern classic Blade Runner, this novel focuses on Deckard more so than the film.
